I have a Mac Pro (Leopard) and just installed a second graphics processor and screen. When I open the SL client in the primary screen everything behaves normally.
When I open the client on the second monitor; however, my skin and all of my clothing renders as black. The rest of the sim renders perfectly, as does my hair. Other users who are present in the same area as my avatar also see me as black with normal hair. If I subsequently assume my dragon shape, that renders normally for all viewers. Only my human personna seems to be affected.
If I log out of SL and log back in with the SL client back on my primary screen then everything renders normally again.
Does this imply that my client is somehow sharing its rendering with other viewers?

That's a limitation on all platforms, SL doesn't really support scondary displays. I don't know if this s something LL will feel a need to address any time soon, but you can add your vote to http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-690 if you like.

I can understand if its not fully supported, but I don't understand how a rendering issue on my machine can affect how others see me in-world. To me that implies that my client is providing some information to other clients in a peer to peer manner and that surprises me.
