IM log- How can i access it on my local HD?

Local IM logging is enabled in SL prefs, and set to default location in my Library/Caches/SecondLife. But i can't find the IM log file or folder, just a ton of texture or script files....

can anyone help?

i can't tell you where it is - i couldn't find mine either

but this is what i did - in sl preferences, under communication, i changed the path to be on my desktop

(if you change it to a place you know, it will show up there)

hope that makes some kind of sense, i am mechanically challenged

You can't access them form the Finder, because the folder is hidden.
However, as Kaos said, you can always set a new path in SL preferences.

The path is: /Users/ Your computer user name/ Library/ Application Support/ SecondLife/ Avitar_Name

I was looking at the Network disk cache path instead of the Communications log path in the SL preferences box.

The IM logs are regular text files identified by their avitar's name.

You can access them from the desktop, as Cat just wrote, just open your "User Icon/Folder" then follow the path.
