I use Filevault to encrypt my user account and all its private data.
SL puts its cache within this area. Unnecessary, and must be slowing things down.
How can I move it elsewhere ?
I have tried replacing the cache folder with an alias to one elsewhere, but SL objects and refuses to start.
Any body got any ideas, apart from the obvious one of creating a separate non-encrypted account for running SL ? Which I prefer not to do so that I have access to all my other stuff without having to break off playing.
All suggestions welcome.
MacOs 10.4 (latest) on a G4 powerbook.
