Oh My God! Welcome back, Merwan! I didn't know you'd left, since your group was still active last year. I thought you'd drifted away, like galaxies do because of inflation and inherent velocities.
I dunno from nothing about Mac, but the Mac forum is lively and can certainly answer your question.
Again, Welcome Back!

Hi Merwan, glad to see you are still alive and well enough to post here.
I'm not up on the Mac so don't have anything to offer offhand.
I guess I'd just see how SL runs, and if it's not fast enough to suit you, contemplate a better video card. 128 megs of video ram is not a high value.

WOAH! Welcome back, Merwan!!! Good to see you again.. it was fairly recently that i ran across something related to you (i forget if it was a group, forum thread, or something else... but still..) and was thinking it was a bummer that you weren't around anymore. How's things? everything groovy? and where in the world did you go for that coffee?!? side note: i'm not around much as Cybin anymore, but i am around almost every day (for about 9 hours a day), as someone else with a rather well known last name /me looks at time oh wow! i have to get to work in 5 minutes! Until after now....

I'm no expert, but I upgraded my Mac's video card from 128 to 256 MB last year, and it has made a significant difference. If you have lag, especially rendering lag, it may be a good idea to do the same.
I'm too new to remember you, but judging from others' reactions, a Welcome Back is in order. : )

919Swa1: Resolution: 1360 x 768 @ 60 Hz Depth: 32-bit Color TBQH That should be fine for SL. The only correction is that 10.5 is Leopard My Specs are as follows 2009 MacBook (White) 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Leopard 10.5.7 2GB 667 DDR2 SDRAM NVIDIA GeForce 9400M: Chipset Model: NVIDIA GeForce 9400M Type: Display Bus: PCI VRAM (Total): 256 MB Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de) Device ID: 0x0866 Revision ID: 0x00b1 ROM Revision: 3384 Displays: Color LCD: Resolution: 1280 x 800 Depth: 32-Bit Color Core Image: Hardware Accelerated Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Quartz Extreme: Supported Built-In: Yes And that baby runs SL beautifully in Ultra Graphics.
