Hi guys Im thinking of getting the new iMac (with Leopard) and adding a second Cinema screen to avoid all that switching between applications.
Are any of you running a set-up like that, and if so, what kind of performance are you getting? Does anyone know if the second screen will somehow drain the graphics card and impair SL performance?
Thanks, -Milla

multiple monitors

I have, on occasion, run 2 SL accounts,at the same time, on my MacBookPro and a 20" viewsonic monitor. It seems to work "ok" with the performance being just a little slower... but usable.
By default, the external monitor will only "mirror" your iMac, to extend the desktop you will need a 3rd party app. I cant remember the name of it at the moment.
Good luck.

thats really old information about needing a 3rd party for extended desktop ont he iMacs... yes it used to be that way, but its not now.
If you buy a current model iMac you can run a second monitor just fine without it being mirrored or needing 3rd party software.
