Won't bake. Black Avatar

After not having any issues with my AV turing black when i put certain items on (fixed a few patches ago) it seems the problem is back in the latest Mac version. It didn't happen before the patch -- only after (using the same old clothing that never had an issue.


Is this a bug? Is there a work around? Anyone else having the same issue?

which of the 2 graphics cards are you using? have you tried both ? (under power saving setings) SL works better with one than the other.

I get a similar problem sometimes on my mac pro btw. Usually clearing cache and re-logging cured the problem.

Are you using two monitors? I've seen this problem with dual monitor setups. Try running SL on the "main" monitor.

I see this same problem too, but its usually associated with certain clothing pieces or skins, and other people see my turn black too... so don't be so sure its a client render bug, the server could be giving out the black info... my friend has an avatar that puts on a certain skin and turns solid black to everyone, unless she teleports away and comes back... so she can't ever switch to any skin without having to do that... her main skin even causes it, and is tradable, she gave it to me and it didn't happen on my avatar.. gave it back to her and it happens... I think it can be a database issue with a specific log in, and not a bug that affects everyone.
