I have noticed that my macbook pro routinely crashes on SL, the problem has been identified as being the battery. If anyone out there is on a macbook pro, remove your battery before playing SL and hopefully you will never softlock ^_^ Basicly the batteries are overheating -_- bloody things

The gfx card on my MBpro gets very warm and the fan comes on full when in SL, but the battery in my machine never heats up noticeably. Perhaps you should send it back to be checked.
