When I start the program and enter my name and password the game loads for a while, and then it says:
"Unable to connect tp second life. The system may be down. Please try again in a few minutes, or click help for advice and a link to the system status web page".
At first I thought it was my firewall (just the one, allready in tiger osx), but I tried to turn it off and it didn't work.
I have an iMac with intel duo core and my internet goes through a proxy server.
Please can someone help me?

Do you have this all the time or from time to time? I get different messages of failure from time to time, but had had the same with my PC. Most of the time I simply retry to log in and it works. I use a Macbook Pro, latest OS-X, and never touched my firewall-configs. (Don't want to burn my fingers, huh.  ) ) |

It's al the time. I've never been IN the game... Just signed up...
So it must be something with my proxy server... Anyone else who has problems with that??

So it must be something with my proxy server... Anyone else who has problems with that?? if your using a proxy, yes that could definitely cause headaches... If you going to do anything like SL, you'll probably want to kill a proxy setup if at all possible. |
