STUCK in one sim!!!

For the past 3 days I've been stuck in the same sim.
If I try to TP out i crash.
If i try to walk out I crash too.
In fact I can't see the neighboring sim if i walk to the edge, but others can.
I can communicate, use my inventory, TP within the sim, but not out.
During log in, it takes forever for "multimedia to be initialized, and also to get by "connecting to region".
Strange detail, my groups have also been erased.
I tried emptying cache, reloging several times, deruthing, changing my log in location.. but nothing works, I just crash during the TP.
I also tried logging in with the rlv viewer and with the Kirsten viewer but it doesn't solve the problem.
If i log in with a different av, it is fine, its just with this one, (which happens to be my main).

Please help!!!

Have you tried selecting a different region before logging in?

You may need to set your ports in the proper way.

The wiki page on port settings is at http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Firewall_Configuration .

The Knowledge Base page is at https://support.secondlife.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=4417&task=knowledge&questionID=4355 .

I have in the past had to make these port settings in my router control page.

"Second Life needs to connect to ports
443 TCP,
12035 UDP,
12036 UDP,
12043 TCP, and
13000-13050 UDP."

If you haven't turned of your complete system, computer, modem, router, etc. you might try that first since it's easy to do.

Thanks Suzanne, I will try that but before i do, this is happening on 2 different computers, could it still be a port issue? Also it doesn't happen with both of my avs, only one of them.
highly frustrating.

Try walking out other sides, I have seen a case where I could only enter or leave through one side of my home sim, I could even see my alt in the next sim but he couldn't see the sim, just a hole full of water. TP was also effected you couldn't teleport trough the sim at all even from a sim 4 sims North to one 4 sims south.

It could quite possibly be that your sim needs to be restarted. We had more or less the same yesterday, lots of problems, no tping, couldnt upload images, couldnt make notecards, couldnt alter scripts, couldnt see the neighbouring region.

I just went to Live Chat, they checked it out immediately and restarted the sim, mind you it took near on 30mins. but behold its ok now.

There's definitely a problem with the region. I've experienced similar. When I tried quitting/re-logging, it still wouldn't let me out whether I was walking, running, flying, or swimming! So then I quit again, and at the login screen I typed in the name of another region. If you don't have a box that lets you do that, then hit Cmd-P to bring up preferences, and on the General tab there's a check-box for "Show Start Location On Login Screen" that you'll want to check.

Once you've escaped, contact the estate manager if it's a private region. If it's mainland, there's probably some sort of Linden person to contact - I'm just not familiar with that procedure, since I'm not over there much. :)
