Why can't I post threads in this forum?

Hi, I have NO CLUE what this topic is, and the forums didn't grant me access to the general "Technical Forum," so I figured I'd post here since I'm using a Mac anyway.

I go to Freebie Heaven a LOT and lately people have been getting kicked off the dance pads, but not everybody, and certainly never me... until now. The way these dance pads are activated is by providing you a ASCII letter or number combo with buttons of different possibilities to choose from in order to tell whether you're a human or a bot.

Yesterday, I got "EW" once and it kicked me off, and then someone else took it and got different letters, and then I took another dance pad and I got another letter combo and it worked fine. But TODAY, my letter combos have ONLY been "EW" and absolutely none of the buttons trigger it -- not even the one that says "EW." Everybody else gets different combinations as normal.

Something is wrong, and maybe it's a glitch in the program, or maybe this club has something against me. I will try to contact the person who created the program/script, but I don't know what else to do besides that and to post here. Has anyone else ever experienced similar issues? Can someone please help?

Okay, I dunno what happened, but I just tried using a dance pad and I got different letters, and it let me dance on it. About four days ago, I sent the owner an IM about this issue and he never got back to me since. I also IMed SL admins about this and so far, no response. Technical issues are so hard in this game.

I will keep this thread updated if I encounter any more problems.

This, in my humble opinion, doesn't really seem like anything to get stressed about. Or even really be concerned with, at all.

There are probably 37,000 other places to go dance in SL. Why not try one of those instead of worrying about this so much? Like the old saying goes, don't sweat the petty stuff, but pet the sweaty stuff instead.

But Freebie Heaven is the best -- I've only seen a couple of other places and they have, like, 3 or 4 spots.

Maybe you should contact the owner of the dance pads.

Doesn't sound like a SL related bug at all, if anything its a bug in the scripts someone wrote for the dance pads.. or something similar....

Not sure if the Second Life forum staff is OK with bumping old threads, but this issue is happening all over again! Me and another user at Freebie Heaven have BOTH been getting "EW" lately -- and none of the buttons work.

It's horrible.
