There's a JIRA entry for the VBO crash on the new aluminum imacs. Go to http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2296 and place your vote if this affects you (or even if it don't, it'd be nice for this issue to get attention.

Thanks Windy for the work you have put in on this one, I have voted, lets hope something gets done about it
![]() For those that don't know what VBO could do for us...it is reported that enabling this can double our client FPS...thats DOUBLE! I would love to find out first hand what that is like...please vote for this issue ![]() |

If you mean vertex buffer objects, it doesn't do as much as double (at least not for me) but I tend to get around a 5-10 fps increase when I switch it on; depending on the area of course, lots of avatars kill me anyway =)

5-10 fps is still 5-10 fps.
