cant connect.

hi.

i'm trying to login into second life..
i have successfully logged in with a windows machine under the same network.. so it means that my router is setup properly?


im using a macbook. and i get the error message. login packet not received.
i have tried both the beta client and the official versions..




i tried connecting with the mac firewall off, still got the same error..

please help..

Can you run a web browser successfully from the MacBook over that network?

yes.. i can see the second life homepage... just cant seem to connect in the client

Which Macbook and how much memory?
SL is pretty Graphics intensive, and, if I recall, the Macbooks use main system RAM as their graphics memory.

did this clear up? its usually a network problem beyond your control. if you were running a connection on a Windows machine at the exact same time the Mac wouldn't work, then it wouldn't be that, but if you meant just like the day before you had connected on Windows, that doesn't mean its working right the next day.
