Mac OS X SL Stats Widget - v1.1

standalone:
-online friends
-grid stats

with optional in game widget server:
-who's visiting your property
-sim stas


Widget is free and can be used stand alone. The in game server is a few L with free upgrades for the same major version as long as I improve it.

Hack to remove visitor chat spam till I get next version out.

If you open up chat history and choose the widget server, you can 'mute resident'. Not a permanent fix, but should get you buy till next version.

- can set refresh interval in widget preferences and it propigates back to server.

Delete all your old SL stats widgets before installing this one.

Since Dashboard Widgets can only be used on Tiger, and are hidden most of the time, whiel konfabulator widgets (Yahoo Widgets) can be used on 10.3 and on Windows... how about a Konfabulator version? The functionality is similar, and both are scripted in Javascript so a port shoudln't be out of the question...

I would be happy to open up the protocol from my ingame server. send me a IM if you are serious and want to do a yahoo/konfabulator widget. I might even share my widget code with you to make the task easier.

Basically I personally have no motivation to do anything for windows users. Let em rot for their poor taste I say..

Free update for existing users, send me your old widget server to get the new one. Also a new dashboard widget that fixes a major bug.

Update: I FINALLY got a refund for the defective Widget server. Its too bad, because I repeatedly asked for a replacement working unit, NOT a refund. *sigh*


Below is a copy of the emails I have sent to [email]support@sweetvitriol.com[/email]. They do not answer emails, IMs or ANYTHING!!! It is nearly impossible to get any information about that product, nor do they respond to customer service requests. The product broke a couple of days after it was purchased.

I SPENT MY MONEY ON THEM AND GOT NO SERVICE AT ALL !
DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

Its been an entire MONTH since I first wrote to you asking for help with your product. I have returned the defective Widget server to you, and have still not heard anything at all. I have never experienced such a bad level of customer service before. I intend to publish this in the Second Life forum for others to see. Your product support is completely unacceptable.

I guarantee that the widget server is unsupported during the times my RL counterpart is on vacation in Alaska away from computers! I'm really just a inanimate puppet when he's not around.
