on the windows you can start sl several times at once.. if you have a good computer lol.
now my question is, how does that work on the mac (leopard)?

Make a copy of the SL application.
If you're geeky enough you can probably make a link tree of the appdir, and avoid having actual copies of all the files. _____________________

The viewer needs to get the --multiple switch, so that the special cache handling can kick in. This wiki page shows a few ways to get it going on a Mac.
