goto the RogueAmoeba.com site, and check their forums on how to set that up for your particular configuration.
But I think there are 2 ways: 1. a complicated one where you change the 'source' in the Source Application push button. 2. a filter in the DSP drawer for 'voice activation'. The latter is a voice activated filter that essentially lowers teh volume of the music when you speak, and overlays your speech on top. |

Boggle,
You dont need to change source at all. All you need to do in Nicecast is to open effects and choose Voice over from the effects menu.It can be found under 4FX effect. Remember to keep the hijack box up on your screen whilst playing music from your iTunes, Turn this off during Tune play, so you dont get any external noise ( ie coughing/phone ringing etc). Id probably set it to wet mix and make sure you have a good mic. You may find that your voice will come from one speaker side. you can adjust this on channels. Also, use the Volume slider on iTunes to fade each track before you speak and remember to fade back up again when playing music. Slimmie |

It depends on what you mean by DJing.
TRAKTOR 3 is a comprehensive digital DJing package available for pc and mac. http://www.native-instruments.com Just need an icecast server if you want to stream into SL using this software. If you just want to play some tunes and do voice overs the most common software package for the mac is NiceCast - http://www.rogueamoeba.com/nicecast/ There is a useful online manaul here - http://rogueamoeba.com/nicecast/manual/ If you are connecting to a external shoutcast server, just check the External Server tutorial on the online manual pages. Hope that helps Jamie Steaming Live Audio - Shoutcast / IceCast Hosting HQ (Bisque 245,155) |

If you already have an external shoutcast server to stream too, nicecast's own online manual is pretty good. Here's a link to setting up an external shoutcast server:
