Noticed how problems are getting increasingly worse?
Plenty of fixes and suggestions offered and none works?
Even on the newest macs?
REJOICE!
The wait is over, here’s the solution:
1. ctrl-click: applications/second life 2. move to trash 3. secure empty trash...
Voila.
The SL-Nightmare is over. Now go and get a life...

By your message i guess... you're suggesting we must kick out SL from our computers and get a REAL life? hahaha... I say this because you are not mentioning the logical step 4: reinstall

From: Rocky Vansant Noticed how problems are getting increasingly worse? Plenty of fixes and suggestions offered and none works? Well, I am having a super experience with SL. No problems on my macbook pro. And now I tried this patch someone suggested, and the beach ball hardly ever shows up - I can run SL even over my 3G modem with no problems. But fare well Rocky - it is summer and RL sure is sweet too.

Here it is: http://radio-boomslang.shacknet.nu/%7Ebb/articles/nicholaz-edition-mac/I did not include it as it had been mentioned by me and some one else in the last couple of days, but it is nice and useful.

Nicholaz doesn't cut it

I use Nicholaz and I STILL can't teleport between sims without beling logged off, upload images or sounds, save a snapshot to disk, save a Notecard, buy more than 1,000 L at a time, and Voice and streaming Audio & Video buttons appear at their own whim (altho. activated in Prefs).
I have a MBP, spring 2007, 2Ghz Intel 2 core duo, 2Gb RAM, OS X 10.4.11, SL client 1.19.1.4

-V I have a MPB, Spring 2007, 2.16Ghz Intel 2 core duo, 3GB RAM, OSX 10.5.2, SL Client 1.19.1.4 I am doing okay...not having any of those issues. Only thing that happens here is a bit of lag compared to my newer iMac. Maybe IM me in-world sometime Victoria and we can compare prefs or something and see what's different. That all sounds so NOT fun... Note that I do have more RAM. Maybe if you boost yours that will help...go for the max I vaguely recall that I did struggle before I upgraded my RAM but that was many months ago and I don't remember the specifics.
