Have there been any reports of problems with the GeoforceFX5200 video card on the mac??? I'm still having continuous crashing/freezing/unexpected quit problems on the G5 1.8MHz dual processor and memory has been ruled out, hard drive reformatted, OSX reinstalled. I've had no problems on any of my other macs and friends that have the ATI Radeon 9600 have also experienced few problems.

Sorry bout the multiple posting...figured after-the-fact that this might be the more appropriate forum.

Thanks

I have the 9600 in my Dual 2.3 Powermac and I haven't had any problems. I just checked and my Powerbook has the 9600 also and I've had no problems.

How much RAM do you have?

The most successful software company in the world does a piss-poor job on all these points. Particularly the first three. Why do you expect Linden Labs to do any better?

2 gigs!! When I brought it in to the genius bar, they opened every application on my computer at the same time to check for memory issues. Everything ran fine, until we launched SL.

Which version of OSX are you using? SL needs OS 10.3.x.
