Hi all. Is the a way in which I can pipe my itune music to my parcel? I know that on a 200MB upload I cannot have too many ppl there, but really, it is just for me and my hangout, so perhaps I can support a few av's.
Any hint on what software might do the trick? What are the magic keywords to search for?

Non-trivial...and I've never actually done it

...but I pretend to know everything, so what the hell. What SL wants to see is a website URL, like maybe http://12.34.56.78:9000/SomeFilenamewhere the file name is your music file. You can do that by 1) Creating a web site on your Mac. 2) Opening your Mac to the outside world (e.g., let connections on port 9000 through your firewalls. 3) Configure your router to send incoming requests on 9000 to your Mac. 4) Figuring out what your IP address looks like from the Internet (try googling for What's My IP address). 5) Put all that in your music setting for the parcel. Whew. If that makes sense to you, then you already know a lot and can go for it. Another way... You find a web site that will host your music (free or pay). You upload music there. They do steps 4 on your behalf. Basically, people would be streaming from that host, you would only be feeding music up to that one.

One thing you might want to investigate is the Quicktime Streaming Server. I believe it's open-source, and allows you to stream music from your machine. The problem with it is that I don't think there's any way to tie it into your iTunes state, not without coding something especially. I tried to do the exact same thing. If its mostly for personal use though, I came to the conclusion that it's just not worth it, and much safer to your sanity to just use iTunes
