have you verified and repaired the permissions on your hard drive? I know its a new computer, but it's a place to start... (in the event you don't know how, open Disk Utility, select the drive, and click 'verify permissions' or 'repair permissions').

What happens when you uninstall SL and then reinstall it?

Did you use the Migration Assistant to copy files over from your old Mac? With Second Life it's better to start from scratch; delete the folder in Home > Library > Application Support > SecondLife (that will delete all your settings & preferences, but your SL account will still be there, as long as you remember your password)

Yes i transferred all what was in my old Mac to the new one, following your suggestion i cleaned up all what related to sl from the disk. Starting again from scratch now everything is working . Thanks a lot to you and all the others who gave suggestions.
