Hello, I am on an intel iMAC and I would like to upload some music files (classical mostly) to use in music boxes. What formats are supported? According to the Second Life info, it is only .wav files, but these don't work on my machine.
I am a relatively new switcher, so please be kind.
Thanks.

.wav files work just fine on Macs with quicktime

Macs can play .wav files, I do it all the time. If you have quicktime pro (a small fee to buy) you can convert aiff files to .wav files. However, you must create them according to secondlife specs. Maximum time of 9.9 seconds, check their info for .wav requirements.

for playing a longer piece in sl, you can use a script to play sequences in proper order with the 9.9 second soundbytes to create a whole song. not sure where to get the scripts, you'll have to inquire.
