Ok I have this resident in my mute list, (got there accidentally) and now I cannot remove it, no matter what I press: delete, backspace, apple-delete, "unmute resident" button etc.
my system: MacBook Pro, 10.4.6, running latest SL version.

I had that same exact probleml, but finally got around it. I would select someone i accidently got on and it wouldnt come off the list. I tried many many many many times and it acted like it worked but it was still listed. I then tried many others that was on my ignore list (mainly all the Xcite! crap) and i finally found a few that came off. After pulling 5 or 6 things off my ignore list all of a sudden that name i had hit 20 times earlier was gone too. It wasnt just a little lag, as nothing else was lagging and it was about 30 mins from the time i had tried to remove the name, til the time i finally saw it gone.
