Unlike the PC browser, the Mac browser (at least the few versions I've been through, including the current and prerelease ones) are unable to receive text pasted in from another source.
As an invalid with a neurological condition affecting fine motor control who finds typing a chore, I find this to be a condiderable obstacle to communication. And even for healthy people, there are many commonly typed phrases which could be pasted from, say, CopyPaste or Drop Drawers instead of being typed.
It also applies to the scripting editor, which is a major hassle for scripting; everything has to be typed in. Even the alternative browser mentioned in recent posts cannot receive pastes.
Am I the only one?

Are you literally referring to Mac browsers (Safari, Firefox) or to the Mac SL client? I regularly copy/paste from TextEdit, for example, as well as from my Office Professional program into my Safari or Firefox sessions (including here in the forums). Don't remember ever trying to paste into SL chat, however, but I definitely have pasted into IM.

I can, of course, cut, copy and paste between all other Mac programmes. I think this SL browser is a port, as it isn't Mac-like to use at all, it's twice the size of the PC download, and doesn't play nicely with other programmes, vis the unco-operativeness re pasting into it.
