I have a iMac G5 Power PC; with a Graphics Card Vendor: ATI Technologies Inc. Graphics Card: ATI Radeon X600 XT OpenGL Engine OpenGL Version: 1.5 ATI-1.4.18 I was told in the "Live Help" to post my problem here, I was told to upgrade the graphic card at: http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/xp/radeonx-xp.htmlOf course they don't offer the upgrade I need and I'm still GREY color and everything around me too in SL and red color in RL, they also told me to get a nvidia card, they say it works better. I have no clue what to do. I would apprecite any feedback if someone kindly help me fix this problem. Thank you

The video card in the iMac is not upgradable--you cant' replace it with an Nvidia. The X600 card 'should' do just fine with SL, although I've not used it myself. Certainly it has the speed and techie requirements. You say that your RL screen is always red? So there are two possible problems: 1. Your iMac is failing. (lets hope not...that's a NICE machine) 2. Your software has gotten screwed up, and something is doing bad stuff behind the scenes.
Tackling #2 is the cheapest, easiest and most likely solution. -I guess the first thing I'd do is Run Disk Utility from your original install disk. Select your harddrive and "Repair Disk". -Then a complete new install of the Operating System. (be sure to back up your work first.) -Set up (at least for now) a new userid with just the default software in it. -Then run "Software Update..." to update all of your system software. Do this step until all of your system is up to date. (is the screen still red? If so, suspect a hardware problem.) -THEN, I'd do a new download of SL, and run it.
If this works, then there's *something* in your original user setup that is screwing up your video performance/settings.

Just came from the Apple store were the computer was tested... and the graphic card too...there's no upgrades and the card is working fine. So no problems were found with the graphic card...o the computer; the mac tech said that is probably a bug within the program... because he didn't find any problems.
Now, I don't know what to do. Should I do what you suggested anyways?
Please let me know what other suggestions do you have.
Thank you so much for your suggestions.

Also forgot to mention, when I run the SL program besides everything been grey color the monitor changes the gamma on the screen, program and desktop into a darker color. The Apple tech saw that too, and he still think is the SL program bug that is causing it. Once I close the SL program everything goes back to normal.
PS: I'm the one is red not the computer, sorry for the confusion, just spend 2 days dealing with this issue. I appologize for the confusion.
