New Macbook - not enough texture memory?

Hi there, i've got a new macbook and SL works great apart from it's not loading textures on some peoples avatars (they remain grey) - I thought it might be the Texture Memory setting in SL, but if I change it from 128 it springs back to 128 next time I load SL. I'm running the latest release candidate. Help!

System Profiler says:

NVIDIA GeForce 9400M:

Chipset Model: NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
Type: Display
Bus: PCI
VRAM (Total): 256 MB

The incorrect texture memory detection for the new Macbooks is a known bug and should be fixed before the RC goes mainstream.

Any idea when this is going to be fixed? Is it definitely the cause of random avatar textures not being displayed?

I don't have any problems with the windows client running in windows on the same machine.

I have a MacBook Pro, but I don't notice any more issues than when I used my PC; in fact, the time it takes to load textures has decreased considerably. Then again, maybe my PC was just bad!
