What are your system specifications? In particular, aside from being on Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard), what Mac model are you using, how much RAM do you have, and what video card is installed in it?
If you launch Second Life and select Help > About Second Life, it will display details of your system specs that you can post here.

tp problems on the mac
10-05-2008 19:53
The following advice was posted by another op here in the forums, I was having tp problems, followed this advice and seems like the problem has been solved. Your mileage may vary. good luck.
I was able to solve 100% of my teleport disconnects by manually setting the DNS servers in Network preferences. If you are using DHCP and your router is acting as the DNS server, the router is too SLOW to forward your DNS request to the DNS server then relay the result back to your machine. I am fairly certain that this is in fact an issue with the Mac network API since I didn't see anyone having this problem on the Windows forum (I could be wrong).
Do the following:
Get the DNS server information from your router or do what I do and use OpenDNS: opendns.org.
Go to System Preferences->Network->Ethernet->Advanced->DNS
REMOVE the router from the list, ADD the DNS servers that you obtained from step 1.
Click OK and Apply.
Enjoy SecondLife.
I should also add that this fixed region crossing as well. I can fly and walk across regions with no problems now.
