Ohhh so glad I found this part of the sl board! Hello fellow mac users,
I have a macbook pro17 that runs sl just fine, but I'm new to mac and it's OS so I have two questions:
How do I find the chatlog history on my hardrive? I've searched high and low for it and only found very technical logs. In windows, you can find chat history in 'docs and settings' or so I was told. If it isn't there because I didn't save a chat while inworld, then how do i save the chat with the mac interface on sl?
Also...I know this has nothing to do with SL but....do any of you have yahoo messenger on your macs? I do and it works terribly compared to windows. I can't message people while I appear online yet I can when I appear offline. And when I log as invisible to everyone, I can't click on a contact and choose to appear to them - gives me an error message in the top corner of my screen. Should I just reload it again.
Thanks for any help you can lend me...

As for chatting applications, I use Adium, which connects to all sorts of networks at once including Yahoo and does so in a way which makes sense.

Adium is definitely good, and that was the correct place earlier for the logs.
Yahoo Messenger has always been very very sucky on the Mac, and I doubt they'll ever spend the time to change that.

You know the reason I chose yahoo is because i can't log into my msn/hotmail email account from my mac laptop.....I think I've been able to log into it maybe three times, but all other times, the url line scrolls and then the msn screen comes up saying 'cannot log into msn now. Try blah blah blah' Don't know if that's a mac issue as well. I like my mac, but life seemed easier on my old pc.
