My answer is: no.

I believe contracts are barely enforceable in the RW, so why bog down the process in the virtual world with them?

What we need are

1) Better reputation tools (ala friends and friendster / trust networks)
2) BBB groups

Contracts are simply friction to getting work done, and the only people who really profit by them are lawyers, clerks, judges, and the rest of the law crew.

"User-created content takes the idea of leveraging player opinions a step further by allowing them to effectively prototype new ideas and features. Developers can then measure which new concepts most improve the products and incorporate them into the game in future patches."

The only case that we need law to step in with business is in the cases of anti trust (never an issue in SL, because LL just co-opts any monopolies! heh!)

And when certain scams undermine the general trust of the economy.
