Does this forum mean that LL is taking a serious interest in player government propositions, is just entertained by players debating seriously over government in SL, or just to provide a discussion space for all the government threads without being in other forums?

A place to centralize discussion re: player government.

Seems to me LL has to deal with other more pressing issues on both the tech side and the customer service side - including an effective way of dealing with player harassment and abuse.

No, this is a ghetto to make sure the governance/government discussions doesn't invade Land and Economy, where the Lindens want to make sure that an inchoate governance philosophy of their own making and the making of the select few players who manage to influence them, can hold sway ROLFMAO.

Yes, this is definitely a ghetto. Can't you tell by the perjorative title "Polysi"???

Prokofy/Random,

It's not "ROLFMAO", it's "ROFLMAO". Who do you know who "rolls on the laugh and floors my ass off"? ;)

Anyways, this forum exists because there are members of SL who have an interest in it. When I was a prolific animator, I posted in the Animators forum daily. If I have a question about scripting, I post in the scripting forum. If I want to discuss themed sims or opt-in player-run government, I post here.

This forum's existence is not an indicator that SL is thinking about an SL-wide player government any more than it's thinking about an SL-wide dress code. SL is and has always been designed to be the framework in which users create content and Political Science is simply one more form of content. That's it.

Put your cowardice and paranoia away. There is no conspiracy and no ghetto. It's just content.
