Have you ever wondered about the different cultures of Second Life? I have, and think the world needs to learn more about the popular, reclusive, xenophobic, secret, odd, geeky and normal social structures of Second Life.
I am looking to "promote" the diversity in Second Life by exploring different cultures and genres. I am hoping to become part of specific cultures and live among them for a week, then report to the world about my experiences. I will submit to whatever guidelines are set forth by the culture in question as to mix in with the locals and get a feel for what it is like to be one of them. I will offer a designated official of the culture being reported on a copy of my story before I submit the final version to Second Life Herald (if they won't print my story I will find other avenues). I want to make sure I represent the culture in an accurate way. Again, I want to promote, not submit harsh criticism.
The benefits to your society
A way to promote your society and help those that are new to the game find people with similar interests. I am an open minded, explorative personality that will submit to the culture's values and way of life. I want to experience the lifestyle and let others know what to expect if they were to become part of your society.
I am looking forward to hearing from everyone and their social groups. I can't wait to explore your world and let the public know what you are about in a fair and unbiased report.
Please IM me in game to set up meeting. What I need from you is a short description of your culture or social group, such as The Goreans - a serious roleplaying society with medieval technology (I observed them last night and they were my inspiration to learn more about the cultures of SL).
