IE: /148/ef/50576/1.html

I propose a paid court system. IE Judges are elected once a year by residents, one for each region( by the people that live and owrk in that region). They get paid $500L a case, and there's only one case a day per judge.

The lindens will sinply enforce whatever the court says, hence menaing they are just getting a report once a week, and not having to resolve the sitution themselves. Judges can be recalled at anytime via group recall feature, and a relection can be done via a poll feature run by a linden..

Courtroom would be simply what ever the nicest building in the region is.

sound like a good idea?

Sounds like an interesting system that some group of friends might want to try out on their own land. The Neualtenburg group comes to mind. As long as the system is not official in any sense of an SL-wide judiciary I don't think people outside the group would have a problem with it.

You'd probably run into opposition if you advocate an SL-wide group of residents with special powers over the rest of us though. Even if these special powers were endorsed by LL, most residents are likely to oppose having some people elevated to a position of authority over the rest of us.
