Could you remind us who Philip Linden is, again?

List his qualifications for ruling a world?

Or...the royal lineage of his geneology?

Something?

Phillip Linden is the right hand of God! That Jesus guy? Forget about it. Phil is what the kids call "the new hotness" these days!

Why, just last week, I was suffering from the dropsy. But lo and behold, the words "Phillip Linden" suddenly formed in my Alpha Bits, and praise Phil, I was cured! CURED!!!

(wondering if the First Church of Phil needs a high priestess. Does it pay L$?)

He's the guy who made the world, therefore, he gets to rule it

Um...*checks notes*...I thought he said he was making just the scaffolding for the world? And we are to make the rest of it, the content?

Or did I miss the memo on this?

Sorry your right, he gets to rule the scaffolding.
You get to rule your own content.
Seems fair.

So said the American colonists about King George in early 1776. Then Tom Paine published Common Sense, and said colonists called George a madman and an imbecile, and burned him in effigy.

The crowd is fickle, especially that part which sings praises to authority. If I were King Phillip, I'd be making sure that my offshore accounts were in order....

....well...I dunno about that....now that there is so much rich content including content of bridges, even draw-bridges like the Boardman-Clara drawbridge, or roads....well...I'm revising that whole scaffolding thing. I mean, maybe we should be re-doing this scaffolding?

...or you could make your own scaffolding...

Aint freedom a nifty thing.

King George let a whole bunch of social misfits get off his island to hopefully drown in the Atlantic. Once they hadnt, he taxed the stuffing out of them. Once they got fed up with it, they told King George where to go and strove to live freely. Then they commited genocide on an entire continent of human beings.

Ah...freedom.

You missed the memo as on the 8th day SL was created and Phillip said "behold and it is good"

Yes. We have the freedom to build anything, including the scaffolding itself! (Except for government because that's scary.) ;)

A Reading from Linden 4:23
04-12-2005 13:53
In the beginning, there was Natoma. And Phillip looked down and said it was good.

Then he pulled Boardman and Jessie from his celestial metaverse and spawned both av and linden... and it was good.

And he placed Av to rule over the metaverse, in his image. And gave Av dominion over the prims and the particles... and it was good.

But then Av abused the particles, and misappropriated prims, and hoarded up all the land and Phillip looked down with contempt.

Then came ye land barrons and GW griefers and W-hats... and the heavens were distressed.

Then Av, feeling it was destiny, proclaimed itself lord of the metaverse and declared a state of player-run government.

And Phillip did come down from the clouds, with Pathfinder at his right and Jessica at his left and banished the evil doers to the self government forum.

And it was good. Again.

Now that's the kind of antigovernment story telling that I can get into! Well written. :D :D
