Government idea
What if a GROUP works together to make a Government. Not for all of SL, just a small part. Lets say the group pools there land or part of there land and money and buys a island. Then on that island form a Sim Government.
Who would be interested in such a project?

This is exactly what we're doing with the next phase of the Neualtenburg Projekt!  We are all purchasing plots of land whose proceeds will go to purchasing a sim that will be owned by the group (a nonprofit cooperative) and run in world with a democratic government. Our new sim should be online in about 2.5 weeks. We definitely need more members, so if you're interested let me know. For those who would like to have an alternate style of government also in a private sim, I invite you to connect your private sim to ours. Also, we will be selling land in such a way that someone without a premium account can own land. The pricing tier is flat, so every 512 m^2 of land costs only US$2.50 per month.
