While checking my land found a new sign intruding upom my property. I built a wall inside my property and look what poked thru. Sign is called a Freedom Capsule. I have sent a msg to the builder asking them to resize with no response. I guess another AR to Lindens will be in order...then again they never did any thing about the bush guys signs.

I wouldn't take this as griefing unless they were all over like the BG's seem to be. How long has it been there? How much time has passed since you messaged the owner of the build? How long has the person been in SL?

I'll admit the object is over the line more than a bit, but give it some time before assuming the worst. Accidents happen...

Actually, what's the specs on the land? Is it a small parcel? Where's it located?

it is 48 sq meters shaped like a 7 it is in Ocellata north east corner.

If it's extending over your property, the Lindens will take care of it if you notify them. This is their policy for all objects in SL (including the Bush guy's signs) when they extend onto other people's property.

A friend of mine spoke to this fellow the other day, this build or one like it was overlapping my friend's land a little. He politely apologised, saying it was intended for a larger parcel and that he would gladly shrink/move it.

Gonna go check and see what happened with it.

Update: My friend says he sounded like he was new, and did definitely shrink the object so that it is no longer crossing it's boundaries. Though it is incredibly tall, so I can't vouch for whether it's intended to grief or not.

Some people are just REALLY patriotic.

So patriotic that they want to put their flags on other people's land.
And in the meanwhile they make the rest of the people look bad..

Don't fall for the CRAP of "it's patriotism". Who hides behind that excuse deserves to be hung for treason.

It’s extortion. Period.

This cruel greed hurts many for the profit of one. It’s not good for the Lindens, its not good for residents.

Its only good to whore a profit by extorting land owners who just want to enjoy a virtual freedom.

If Lindens cant finger that out.. how to protect the land, rights and ideas of people and find a balance at the same time between free enterprise and abuse and extortion… then SL is truly doomed.

Then again.. do Lindens really care? After all.. you are buying that land right…

hey.. perhaps you will by your land AND all the land around you.. in fear someone might construct an extortion device. Yes.. more land fees that way… I would not be surprised (due to the lack of care or effort) if the lindens were in support of extorting land owners. After all… its all about the $L right?

My god calm down, its something he did, if it was on his land, he has the right to put whatever he likes on it. Especially if its a mature sim. Get over it. He was told it was going on another piece of land, he removed it, or made it smaller. Now if he didn't that would have been a different story. Some people just look for drama.

You completely missed the point Nick.

The issue of Sign extortionists is about more than this one guy. The point was clearly directed at the principals of the vermin who make a living off the misery of others.
