Bowing Out of the Political Science Forums

Recently, I was and have been ardently posting about the uselessness of a Worldwide Player Run Government with in SL.

I am still against a Player Run Government for a multitude of reasons. So, make no mistake in that assumption.

However, due to the inane replies and circular rhetoric of certain SL members.
I am going to bow out of the Political Science Forums.
To consider debating with them is like beating your head against a wall when they continually change their directions to cover their asses.

No! Ulrika I don’t mean you at least you and I can come to compromises at times.

Anyway, for those that did support my arguments and understanding I thank you for your support in the past.

For those that disagree and debated amicably without resorting to name calling I thank you as well.

For those that just think they are smarter than anyone else or myself.
What can I say, probably nothing as you will dismiss it as being banter of some uneducated oaf and continue to look down your noses at others.
If you take offense to this comment then I guess that means you categorically fall into the “Down your Nose Clique” and nothing more need be said.

For those that wish I would just shut the hell up about government this or government that you’re getting your wish as this will be my last post here in this particular forum for quite a while.

So, good luck on your debates, I wish those of you that sincerely want to debate SL politics the best.

Honestly, you are the only antigovernment voice that's making great headway in this forum. As opposed to dropping "no govt in SL posts" and running, you ask the hard questions and expect people to provide you with answers. This is a critically important function in any debate, one that Talen Morgan provided when we were defining our government.

By the way, I saw the mean post that prompted your departure notice and I'm really sorry about it. It was definitely uncalled for.

Remember, you own this forum just as much as anyone else in SL does. You should consider being the one to stay and kicking the other bloke out instead. Just a thought.

I'm mostly sneaking into the poly sci section to escape the head-throbbing Prokofy Neva drama in the general section. I am looking forward to some nice, relaxing, civil, soothing political chit chat to bring my blood pressure down.

Not all of us run, some of us lurk.

Some of us get sick of saying the same fucking thing over and over and over and over to other people that are not listening. Those other people are busy saying their own fucking thing over and over and over and over to people that are not listening.

It's all just chaos right now because no one appears to be truely listening to anyone else. Discussion will come when every post either way is not followed by five flames. It's not going to happen so long as this forum is surrounded by hordes with torches.

I am more than happy to have localized goverment in SL. I am strongly opposed to one SL government for all. You yourself even said somewhere in this forum (and I'm paraphrasing here) that an SL-wide government is not going to happen and that we should stop fearing it and bitching about it. My fears for now are quashed. If and when I see topics of interest to me, I'll post. If not, I won't.

To be honest, Shadow, I didn't like your first post in the "So you want a government in SL" thread because I thought it purposed to shut the debate down.

But I thought your subsequent posts and posts in other threads made good points, and I found myself agreeing with you on many of the issues. You are direct and often eloquent, whatever anyone might say. On a personal level I especially liked your response to my own posts in the "want a government" thread; you showed grace and maturity when I hit at you a little.

So take a break, if you like, and then come back.

However, debating politics here is not an option for me right now considering.
I am still going to read and reply down the road.
But, the only reason I replied at all today was to dissuade the erroneous illusion that Dakota tried to plant in my other thread as a method to get me back to posting here.
