Any way to make a one-arm tattoo?

I've been dying to get a tattoo on one arm (not both) that goes across my shoulder to the back of my neck. Then my heart was broken when I found out that the standard way of making tattoos requires both arms to be identical. I think it will be possible to do using a prim the exact shape of my upper arm, but it seems I dont' have the artistic talent to pull it off and I'm having a hard time lining up the prim texture with the shirt texture to make it one flowing design. If any tattooists want to try it for me, please contact me in-world with a timeline and a price. Also, if my prim upper arm idea won't work, please tell me before I waste more time ;)

Nope. The SL avatar mesh only has one arm, which gets mirrored.

I would think it might actually be easier to make a prim version of the blank arm and have it cover up the tattoo. Of course, that depends on the complexity of the skin itself.

The problem with prim attachments is they do not move with the body so there will most likely be times when the tattoo would appear to be floating in mid-air above the skin. This is one of the big reasons many tattooists do not offer prim tattoos.

I've seen android/bionic appendages...although I'm not sure I've ever seen them used on just one limb.

But, if you CAN do that, you could make the tattoo for both arms, and then wear a bionic limb on the other side to hide the tattoo.

That still won't work. Skins only have one arm, that's mirrored.

You can create a prim tattoo and attach it to one upper arm.

It will move with your arm perfectly... however, it will float OVER clothing - and no other attachments would be possible for that part of the avie (like spiked straps or whatever you're into) :)
