Silly question I guess but I've seen loads of folks suddenly blowing out love hearts. Where would I go for these?

Hi Kristina, welcome to the forums. Johan Durant's store, the Motion Merchant, has a free "Blow Kiss" animation that poofs ... I'm not sure whether it blows lips or hearts, but maybe that will do.
If you mean that their avatar "poofs" love hearts when they arrive or walk around, those are called "poofers". I'm sure there were a bunch of heart ones in freebie boxes everywhere for Valentine's day; now that is passed you may actually have to buy one (it will be cheap). Look for "poofers" and "gestures" in search.
Or, if you want, you could go to Particle Labs and learn to build one! They're not very hard ...

There is a free one out there somewhere, I think it is called a "concert HUD" I can't for the life of me remember where I got it from. It blows hearts, kisses and panties *blush*

Heart Poofer Shoes

A friend bought me red high heel heart shoes that have the "poofer" effect. you just type "hearts" in the chat window and you are surrounded by hearts when wearing the shoes. This way you get a cute pair of shoes and the poofer.
They are callled "Valentines Hearts"
She bought at OnRezz, but in world, the notecard says they are from:
Ti'Amo shoes. (220, 149, 91)

what I'd like to know is not where the poofers are, but where the little heart "bubbles" are... like a particle effect but hearts ... very cool.  |

Well, the Ninja Humper is a freebie attachment available in world that poofs hearts at the person you direct it to. You also have the side effect of walking towards that av, hopping up on their waist, and, well, humping them (fun part of that is, it doesn't ask their permission, since they're not animated, great for surprising a long lost friend.). But it's fully mod, so you should be able to take that part out.

i have a copy of one that pops hearts out if you wear it and easy taken off
can be added any object in furniture etc but only down side if you add it to an odject is its hard to find (small) if you want to remove later i log in with lag so i can spot it in the grey wireframe

Use particle effects sparingly...they can be hugely annoying to other people.
