Would be cool if the Affiliate did animation, too, but pictures would be fine.

Looking for an animation vendor that allows shoppers to easily 'pose' to test the animations. Also has text to display Animation name and price. Must be able to hold up to 40 animations, or cheap enough to buy a couple. If the vendor uses poseballs, having them go away after like 15 seconds of unuse would rock. Also highly preferred the vendor lists the animations by notecard.

As for the affiliate vendor.. Something simple =p I've seen HippoVend already, is there anything else?

This is something I have investigated before. Most people give away affiliate vendors so that they can be easily placed in many locations and then the creator and the location owner receive a cut. These vendors generally deliver things using a server.

The problem lies in the fact that the animation files have to be loaded into the vendor in order to allow the potential buyer to try them. Thus, the location owner could remove the animations for their own use if they wanted to.

I have considered selling affiliate vendors at the full price of the animations but then allowing the vendor to sell the animations which would then be delivered via a server. This would work but would require the location owner to purchase each vendor separately. Since I have around 200 poses/animations, at L$50 each, that would be a L$10,000 investment per vendor. I don't think many people would be willing to do that.

I would love it if someone else has solved this problem and can enlighten us, but until LL allows us to load animations using a UUID key, I don't think it can be solved.

I wouldn't consider using an Affiliate vendor from someone else that cost over $1... Why would I wanna pay to sell your items anyway?

I think that is the point. You would not want to pay me to sell my stuff, nor would I ask you to. Although that happens every day in RL franchises, I don't think it would go over well in SL.

There are several animation vendors on the market. I have written my own vendors, and they work great. People have requested that I make mine available but so far I haven't.

It is only when you try to create an affiliate vendor for animations that there is a problem. I was simply trying to explain why it is nearly impossible to create one.

Yes.. hence my post. I'm not a scripter, otherwise I'd make one. I can pretty much figure out how to mash a bunch of scripts together to make one for just my shop but getting it to work for an affiliate is way beyond my abilities.

Actually, I'd have no idea to create a vendor for more than one item.. Such as a balloon then a chair.. The arrow thing baffles me. So I wait ;)
