Hi I'm making a gun...and I bought some scripts, they work great actually, except the bullets.
Problem I'm having is they bounce in a Lagged Sim like crazy.
If any one could make me some nice bullets, that dont bounce like crazy in a lagged Sim that what I need.
Also if they had a nice texture just light gold maybe so you can see them when fired.
Thanks you!

Thanks you! The problem is scripts don't react fast enough in a lagged sim, so it doesn't immediately die on collision. So it's rather hard to do what you want without a very short timer for the bullet, which might still bounce some, or not go far enough in any case. I suggest you just try to avoid lagged sims =/

Thanks for the reply, In normal Sims the bullet reacts perfectly...but in lagged ones it goes all over the place once it bounces off a wall.
I used some professional ones, like KAC they dont bounce as much, and die a lot quicker in the lagged Sim.
So thats what Im looking for, like the KAC I described.

ahh ok.. sounds like basically you've just got some bullets that aren't as efficiently scripted as some are, and you want less laggy ones...
Personally I can't do it sorry, no idea what goes into a bullet since I've never cared about weapons in SL.
But felt that I should let you know that a 'perfect' bullet in a lagged sim was more or less impossible.

Thanks for that info, and thats quite true I have other guns as well Black-Ops a few other and you are correct the "Perfect Bullet" does not exist.
But would like to get as close to perfect as possible.
Thanks again.

Do the bullets have to be solid? How about a particle effect as an alternative?

From: Karl Herber Do the bullets have to be solid? How about a particle effect as an alternative? Particles are purely visual, so they'd have no effect on anything they'd hit, and couldn't die after a single collision or anything, since they have no collisions.

I have a friend who makes very detailed prim bullets. They are very tiny, very realistic.. He isn't online like he use to be but if you contact me in world if you really want detailed prim bullets I will see if I can introduce you to him.
