Hey. I would like one of those CDs that stream music.

I would like classic songs from Louis Armstrong and the Ink Spots. Thanks!

Providing you have the ability to set the stations on the land you have, you can go to www.shoutcast.com and search for the genre you're looking for. Snag the URL (my player automagically displays it, yours I dunno) and put the URL in the music URL line in the about land settings.

I found http://64.202.98.51:8380 was the only one at the time of my search with the name Louis Armstrong in the description. However, since that's not the type of music I listen to, I don't know if that station plays the same genre you're looking for.

If you want uploaded sounds, you can do that with 10 second clips only. Makes for a sucky CD.

I could not really find what I wanted either. I ended up putting Jazz at the house. When I go to other people's parties as I truely hate most modern music played here...way too crass for me; I just pipe in things I like from Pandora.com. They won't let you bring it outright into SL but if you have speakers or headphones works just fine. Just type in Ink Spots and It will creat a station for you. You can give songs a "thumbs up" or "down" too to really tailor it to your needs.

How much are you willing to pay?

As said, you have to do it in 10 second clips, which cost 10L each to upload, and then you still have a slightly choppy version of a song. So just to upload a song costs around L$400. Not to mention the time to chop up the sound files and upload them and get the script to come as close to smooth as possible. It's like this for a reason, as historically the music industry goes completely psycho and starts suing every time someone tries to do something besides pay $15 in a retail store for a CD with ONE song you actually like on it. So LL doesn't care to deal with copyright issues, and the 10 second limit does a good job of letting them avoid them.

But IM me in world if you don't mind paying a fair price given the cost and effort it takes to get a song into SL.
