OnRez is closing and the graphics I view through OnRez are superior by comparison with regular login through SL website. Can someone please direct me? I've tried changing settings and achieved 1% increase only in the visual quality.

Viewer Choices

Two viewers were recommended thus far:
1. Kirsten
2. Imprudence

Feedback as to the best choice of these two or others would be greatly appreciated.

I use nicholaz if im just running around as it causes me less lag with the graphics

If im building tho i like to use the current client or the release client so i can see how the user will be viewing what im building also for the mono option when scripting.

I havnt tried the others you listed so cant help ya with an opinion...sorry

Kirstens Viewer 1.16.3 (90) is great for multi-core machines and will soon support real-time shadows.

The Nicholaz viewers still work beautifully, however, he has stopped updating them, so the latest Nicholaz viewer EC-f is on the 1.19 build. I have both the EC-f and the BE-w (1.18, pre-windlight, handy for when I know I have to go into a high lag situation). It can be found at: http://nicholaz-beresford.blogspot.com/

The Kirstens viewer is on the current build 1.21, I just began using it about a week ago and have been pretty happy with it so far. The only problem so far is that Firefox doesn't seem to recognize the SLURLs, I will update if I find the fix for this. You can install it to its own folder and test it without affecting other SL installs. It can be found at:

The standard viewer 1.21 has actually been pretty stable for me as well (for a change).
