Anyone know any stores in SL that sell socks? (I've seen a few socks for women, but none for men. And while yes, socks are socks, I doubt he wants pastel ones with dots and stripes.

A friend says he has looked all over Second Life, but can't find just regular socks. Like one might find in a regular store. Nothing fancy, just socks.

He can make plain system socks in appearance mode, and then color them white/black/brown etc.

Socks tend to be a disappointment in SL, partly because clothing makers don't make much of an effort with them and partly because the mesh is very badly connected around the ankle. The only decent socks I have seen were free when I frst joined, in the Male Goth set, which I think might still be in the Library for new accounts. By way of an early experiment in texturing, I made some boot and sports socks of my own with slightly contrasting heel and toe sections. They are quite good and I still use them. In fact I keep planning to make more. A guy can't have enough socks. I don't sell anything yet but IM me with the name in-world and I will pass your friend copiable sets. |

Note to the PG oriented: for some reason the er, "Chippendale collection" is upstairs near the socks also. Including a full frontal male 'model' in one pic. You'll see what I mean if you go there.
