Is there any earphone that can block wearer from 'listening' to the main chat? Sometime the main chat in certain region is a bit offensive, I just need not to see any text message from the main chat.

Well, you could
1) Uncheck View/Local Chat and
2) In Edit/Preferences/Text Chat, select "View Chat Bubbles"
This would keep you from seeing the chat of anybody who is not actually in your line of sight.
