I see loads of guys wearing them, but i ask where they got it and they don't reply... Please help

First thing I do if I see an object I like is stiff-arm it with a right-click, choose 'More' then 'More' again then 'Inspect' and press the 'See Creator Profile' button - it doesn't matter if the object is worn by another avatar or not. The creator's profile will usually provide some indication of where the object can be had/bought. More often than not there will even be a 'Teleport' button for the location of their shop or whatever under the 'Picks' tab.

There is a school of anal-retentive jerks who wear invisible anti-inspect prim shields with the specific aim of confounding this useful feature. The get-around for that is run your camera up real close and personal so that you are 'inside' the prim shield with that avatar and repeat the 'Inspect' routine.

After securing the required information, I consider it good form to drop the wearer an IM with details of the item just to let them know how thoroughly ineffective, anti-social and downright stupid they are.

As for the colour-choice on that PLO scarf, I'm pretty sure the violet is just a color overlay applied under the 'Texture' tab. The item probably is just black and white with the modify option (hopefully) allowed.

I had something very similar to that a while go. I think I got it from sf design, though it doesn't appear to be on sale in their main store anymore. It had a scripted colour change that included a black(ish) option.

One reason is to try to protect themselves from being caught as a wearer of ripped content, and another is to protect their fantastic kewl look from being imitated by other players of the competitive dressing-up game that SL is for some people.

is a bit like the free tartan scarf at edge grafica, which is incredibly hard to find except by tping directly to the store at jiminy sim. freebie store, good stuff. the store is on one of the corners of the shopping district, sorry i cant give better directions. I dont think that is the exact scarf, but i do think i have seen that scarf at a store, when i get home (i'm working hard at the moment) i will check which store it is.
