I'm looking for a donation pot that you can attach to yourself, preferably with text you can change to say what the donation pot is for.

This isn't exactly possible...at least, not practical. Attachments can't be paid, so they'd be paying your avatar directly, which wouldn't send any information to the pot. So, you couldn't have it update with amounts, or even say thanks automatically. It'd basically just be an attachment that's asking for money, that does nothing else.

Everybody has one in SL. Right Click on the name above someone's head and select pay.

From: Zoha Boa Everybody has one in SL. Right Click on the name above someone's head and select pay. It doesn't even have to be their name. Any part of them, including attachments, should show 'Pay' in the pie menu.

Gay I have tried this but it doesn't work. I have my own tip jars and stuff like that but when you attach it to your avatar, the 'Pay...' option always dissapears. Since there is an option like 'Pay...' in your avatar, that is not possible (as I know) I just can give you one tip, attach that objecto to you and set a hovering text like: 'consider a donation' or something you like. That 'pay...' option will be always in your avatar menu not in your object. I haven't tried yet if it is possible to let the object know when have you been payed so it can throw a 'Thank you' message. But here you have more to investigate |
