"Sarah" Skin has permanent Undies! How Can I Get Rid Of Them???

I feel I got very lucky and found the perfect 'parts' to make a really great avi. And now I'm *very* attached to her appearance. Also, she is known by new significant friends/others this way. So I really want to keep her appearance as is.

But one thing: She has permanent black undies. Heart in front on a little flap and the title "SKIN" screaming from her backside. To say the least this makes it impossible to wear certain items or sunbathe in the buff. She can't even wear a bikini.

Is there anyone out there who has a solution for us? I tried to find out who the shape/skin designer is but no luck. Any help with this problem would be GREATLY appreciated.

P.S. I tried on a few different tan skins but they either are not the right shade and/or they really do change the *detailed* shape/emphasis (of) her face.

You're best off just finding a skin that doesn't have "built-in" undies.

Well, no luck so far with that, as mentioned. I have continued to look but so far the ones I've tried change her way too much. I was hoping that if nothing else someone had a 'bottom-half' skin I could add to her to just cover it up. How much would it cost to commission such an item? Anyone?

If you're willing to actually pay for a commission -- why not just buy a skin? There's literally thousands of choices.

That's all any sort of "cover-up" would be anyways, and why waste a clothing layer?

I'm almost positive that among my purchases there have been some skins. And I also am just looking into commissions. So far have found only one biz offering. But just got started and so I am sure there are thousands. Thanks for the advice! (O:

Not sure what wasting a layer means.

Your existing skin likely takes up the "tattoo" layer, so anything to cover it up would end up using the underwear layer.

Did you pay for that? Sounds like a sample skin. Right click the skin in your invenrtory and check PROPERTIES. Fine the name of the creator and see if their profile has a store listed. Also contact them to see if you can get a modification of the skin.

Thanks for the idea, though! I pretty much think I'll have to locate someone to modify this skin or make a new one of her for me. Maybe someone will see this post and contact me. Also feel free to send an IM if you are someone who does this kind of work. Let me know the price. Thanks.

Curious: were permanent undies pretty much protocol on skins? Just wondering why they would be there at all. )o:

As far as I know, all teen grid skins have built-in undies. On the adult grid built-in undies are limited to free demo skins.

Just a thought-- if you can post a picture of the face, someone might be able to suggest other skins that look similar to it.

Darn it, I know I had this skin at one point when I was new. I'm thinking maybe it was an Opium skin ... Caprica, if you want to test that thot, go to the Free Dove and pick up the free Opium skins immediately on the right by the entrance.

If so, Opium has completely revved their skin line since the made those freebies ... but generally a given skin maker's new revisions look good on the same avatars ... repeat customers, you know! If it is an Opium skin, you might also try Gala ... their skins have always struck me as similar.

There are SOOO many skin makers, and skin shopping is so fun ... why not lookup one of the skin threads here, and go for a kamikaze skin-demo-grab trip? I'd be astounded if you HAD to commission a skin to look well. There just aren't that many different things you can do with the avatar mesh

Please post a snapshot to Snapzilla or ImageShack or someplace so we can eyeball it and determine if we recognize the designer. Most freebie skins have "unknown" or "newbie_template linden" as creator, even though several were done by well-known designers.

If it's the same as yours you may find there's a non-freebie available that's similar. It's in the the B@R freebie area.

I followed Nika Talaj's advice, saw none at the Free Dove that I could locate BUT I found her at Gala!!, boogie down! The black undies are officially ***LOST*** Thank God.

She's a little more made up than my original girl....and still looks great. I'm so glad to have this done.

I did post a couple of photos of her on Flickr - since I'm still not sure who created this. The store owner is called Tracey Sassoon. But it is not clear to me if she designed this skin. Did not find the info in Properties. Would still definitely like to know who her designer is.

Well you only occupy about 3/4 of an inch on my screen in those pictures so it's very difficult for me to tell. That kind of looks like an Opium skin to me, but I really can't see any of the details very well.
