Does anyone make or could some one make- not even sure if possible- a group inviter that one could hand a list of avies to invite and the invites would be sent automatically? Ideally it would record whether th invite was accepted or declined and would not invite the same avatar twice to avoid spamming peeps.
If you are aware of this product or can make such, please PM or IM- thank you.

just search crystal gadgets. Thanks for the tip! Anyone know of a way to dump a list of my group members to a file? I'm trying to avoid sending double-invitations as I know that can frustrate people.

I am sure there is an elegant way, but a simple copy/paste shd tk care of it. Copy it and then paste it as unformatted text- it will land in cells by itself if using a spreadsheet and in text if a word processing prog. HTH

HTH The SL client group window doesn't allow you to select the names to copy them to the clipboard. I've even tried to browse through the client cache files to see if I could pull the names from those files but did not have any luck with that either. Hopefully someone can point out if I've really overlooked something obvious. I would be ready and willing to subscribe to some of those invitation services, but none of them (from what I read previously) have any checks and balances to ensure that existing group members don't get hit with additional invitations. Thanks again for any input.

Well- I am just starting out- and I had been concerned yes- I don't want to aggravate peeps- what I have been doing is downloading the list of visitors to an excel sheet and want to send one invite. If they accept great- if not- I certainly would not want to pester them- I figured I would just hang onto the master list and check against it- but u r right- that is a bit of work... /me waits and hope for enlightenment

This is subjective about considering this spam. But personally (and by the sounds of it this is what is happening) the group invites are being sent to recent customers who have purchased something - they can either accept or reject the invitation and they won't be bothered again. And given they purchased items they may appreciate the invite to be informed about updates. If this is what is happening I don't see the problem personally. Especially if it's a closed group for customers only.
By the way I'm the creator of the Send Invites software mentioned in this thread. It's still available for free at Crystal Gadgets. I also wrote another Windows app which reads the sales spreadsheet, discards invites already sent and creates a list of names in batches of 50 to be used with the Send Invites tool. If others would find this handy I'll see if I can polish it up sometime and make it available (it's very rough and ready at the moment because I only knocked it up for my own use).

I completely agree that spam is a subjective thing and yes, the method that I have been using for the last two years is to follow-up (manually, sigh) for those who have actually purchased something. And open enrollment was turned off because of the influx of scammers pandering to the membership. While this method takes a little more time, I can avoid sending double-invites to existing members. I do have a touch/invitation sign at the entrance for manual adds. After doing a lot of reading up on the subject, I decided to avoid the auto-invite on tp arrival systems and invite on item purchase vendor plug-ins. They do not take into account existing members and would really annoy repeat visitors. In the end, no method will be 100% acceptable to everyone. What is informative to one person can be intrusive to another. I would really be interested to see your other win app if it becomes available. I do intend to try out your other system soon.
