flying pad thingamabobber....

For the last couple of days, I've been looking for a script that will let an avatar sit on a prim, and then move the prim and the avatar to a designated place. After the AV unsits, I want the prim to return to its original location.

The reason I'm looking for this is because I have a skybox that's 400m up in the air, so it's beyond standard TP range. The item I need would have to be able to go a little more than 400m up in the air.

I came across a shop that had a flower you could sit in and get flown around the store, but of course it was no mod, so I couldn't get a clue as to how to build it, and even if I did it used more locations and prims than I would have needed. They did not have the item for sale, either; it was only an aide to allow people to tour their store.

I'd love to have the script so I can change the texture and prim to suit my needs, and if it only worked for certain AVs, that would be an added bonus, but at this point beggars (me) can't be choosers.

i have a teleport system that uses a beam to take you to the spot and i use it for areas 500+m and up on my land when i get in game ill see who its by or if its copy/tran just send me an IM to remind me

Thanks, Tyci! I'll be sure to IM you tonight. Hopefully the beam can be modded (I have a nature/asian-influenced theme to my parcel) and I'd like to convert it to a cloud or something that I can sit cross-legged on. If not, I'll keep looking, but I really appreciate your offer of help.

I got to thinking - what I'm looking for is more like a skydiving chair that you see at various shops than it is like a teleporter. Anyone know where I could find a script like that?

You want a teleport system that uses WarpPos. Search the Scripting forums for a few different free versions, they all work basically the same and will do what you require.
