I'm looking for a prim counter that I can place in my tenants' homes for their use, showing them their prim usage only, along with a master version that will show me how many prims each is using.
I realise there are several of these on the market, but the difference is, I'm not going to be parcelling my land, so the prim counting must be avatar based and not parcel based.
This is rather urgent, so if you have what I'm looking for, or can provide it, please IM me in world.

Why not just go to About Land -> Objects and refresh the view showing how many prims are owned by each Avie? =^.^= A free solution!

Yes Aimee - I need a system for each tenant to use, but thanks for trying to help.
Papalopulus - thank you so much. I've looked into the Hippo Rent System, and yes, it looks amazing. I may end up buying that which is a bit of a shame really as I'd just bought Apez - lol.
Anyone else have another solution please?

I don't want to dump on Hippo, because it's extremely valuable and useful otherwise with its payment management, but that prim counter it uses is a nightmare. It worked probably the first couple of days, but now it just spams my tenants with bogus IMs saying they're using 971 prims when the land query shows they're using 201. My weekend task is to go in and disable the IMs on each box. I also have a lot of trouble getting to any help -- the web page is devoid of content. You're apparently supposed to Spam that working group with questions, but someone usually snaps back, "Read the help notes" or something.

Thanks Avion, that's good to know. I think Apez may be coming up with a Prim Counter as a feature soon so I'll stick with them and just let my tenants know when they go over for now.

Search> Prim counter , there`s a few threads ive seen on it as I too was looking for one. From: someone along with a master version that will show me how many prims each is using.
For this just use about land.

Sorry to disagree with the above post, but since I started using Hippo's prim counter I have had far fewer problems with my renters using too many prims. The im's are irritating, but I would rather have that than me constantly nagging people to watch their prims. The help notes are clear, and once you understand them, easy to follow. However, don't think this is a simple system that you can use in 5 minutes. It took me a couple of sl days to get things set right (I am not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to computer stuff), but now I love it! And the web page option is well worth the extra lindens.

Prim counters means that the owner of the land (or one with privs) has to visit the parcel in order to update the prim counter.
The LSL function only works when such owner is on the parcel. That is why the counts may not be right for days.
I thought about putting a prim counter in my rental system, but that is the main reason I have not done so. I know the inner funtionality of the lsl command can confuse the situation.
I put out prim counters only for those who ask or need it.

hi, I'm just also trying to find a prim counter for my renters, but where I could add a list of people and count only prims owned by those people. (with their key or name.. however... I'm using the hippo rental system too, but i want a script that count prims owned by more then one tenant, that i will pose in their land that they see how many prims they are all using on their parcel.... and I won't subdivide my land too if someone knows something about that kind of script^^ thank you for helping

I have in the past just created custom scripts for prim counters. Residents always want to add and subtract people from the list. Then there are also the prims to count that aren't owned by any of them.

I put out prim counters only for those who ask or need it. How true is this? I find that hard to believe, perhaps it`s only for some prim counters, or perhaps some counters have a way to update like a reset option to get around the owner having to visit. Theres a guy with MANY sims of rentals, and he has a prim counter in every home, i cant imagine he goes around visiting every parcel to update it.

See: http://lslwiki.net/lslwiki/wakka.php?wakka=llGetParcelPrimOwnersIf one has permissions, then it works. The owner, otherwise, has to be on the sim/parcel.

Hi
I also need that special prim counter.
We have over 50 Apartments on a parcel, the land is set to group, (NOT DEEDED) and for that i need a prim counter that i can give to each renter, so when they rezz it it shows how many prims they have on the land.
We have the problem that a lot go over their prim limit because they have no clue how to check their prims. hippo takes long till it updates, and every renter would always have to click the box to find out their prims.
a 1prim prim counter would be good. I would need it as copy Transfer.
If any of you seen, have or can make me a counter like that, Let me know please.
TY
Greetings to all

I wrote one I have it in inventory somewhere... I'll post it as soon as I find it.. Here is a MASTER Prim Counter: It will show .. all the prims on the parcel, total prims sim supports, how many are owned by each person. How many are owned by group. Here is a sample report: [8:00] Prim Counter: Max Sim Prims=1062 [8:00] Prim Counter: Avail Prims=378 [8:00] Prim Counter: Total Prims=684 [8:00] Prim Counter: Group Prims=0 [8:00] Prim Counter: 1 total owners [8:00] Prim Counter: Xhawkx Holden owns 684 prims list primsowned; default { state_entry() { llSetText("Prim Counter",<1,1,0>,100); llSay(0, "Max Sim Prims=" + (string)llGetParcelMaxPrims(llGetPos(),TRUE)); llSay(0, "Avail Prims=" + (string)(llGetParcelMaxPrims(llGetPos(),TRUE)-llGetParcelPrimCount(llGetPos(),0,FALSE))); primsowned=llGetParcelPrimOwners(llGetPos()); llSay(0, "Total Prims=" + (string)llGetParcelPrimCount(llGetPos(),0,FALSE)); llSay(0, "Group Prims=" + (string)llGetParcelPrimCount(llGetPos(),2,FALSE)); integer i=0; llSay(0,(string)(llGetListLength(primsowned)/2)+" total owners"  ; while(i!=llGetListLength(primsowned)) { llSay(0,llKey2Name(llList2String(primsowned,i)) + " owns " + llList2String(primsowned,i+1) + " prims"  ; i=i+2; } } touch_start(integer total_number) { llResetScript(); } }

Sorry, being a scripting dummy, I assume I can put this script on a prim and it will work with a touch? Does the tenant operating the box need to have any special permissions on the land? Thank you, --Avion

Does the tenant operating the box need to have any special permissions on the land? --Avion I would call this the master prim counter script, for the land owner.. not the tenants. I will see what I can do for a tenant specific one when I am able to get into SL sometime tomorrow.
