High-waisted black leather pants ? >>>

Silly me thought that it would be simple to find some high-waisted skinny black leather-pants - which can be worn on pants layer, but still go *inside* a pair of sculpted boots.

Until now... zero, zip, nothing :(

Could anyone please offer a hint?

TIA,

I know G0th1c0 in Gemmed sim makes some high waisted leather pants (the ass is kind of shiny though). As far as fitting inside boots, as long as they are mod you can make any pants legs unflared to suit.

Thanks... I'll have a look when I get in-world later today. :)
However, I must admit, I'm not that very good at editing items (provided they even are 'mod'), so I would still be happy for some additional suggestions.

Editing your pants to fit inside your boots is really easy. Just wear the pants and boots, go into edit appearance, pull the cuffs flair slider to the minimum and then gradually shorten the pants using the pants length slider until the cuffs can no longer be seen sticking through your boots.

Yep, possible to do, but I sure wish more designers would include an underwear layer of the pants so I don't have to do this. (To designers: Hint, hint.)

But that would interfere with the alternative pants and underpants layers I sure wish more designers would include as continuations to their tops so I can wear a jacket, top, and some pants without having a gap around my midriff. (To designers: Hint HInt)

I didn't say offer ONLY the underwear layer; I said INCLUDE it (in addition to the pants layer). Many designers include each clothing item on several different layers so that the buyer can have maximum versatility. Everyone wins.

I wasn't disagreeing -- just taking the opportunity to drop my own hints to designers. I guess the problem is that designers understandably tend to think of how their garment looks rather than of what people might want to wear with it. I've got a lovely leather jacket, a lovely top that needs a pants or an underwear layer, a lovely pair of no-mod jeans in both underwear and pants layer, and some great boots... they would work so well together, but I just can't combine them. Grr.

Thanks Innula... I took a deep breath and gave it a go on my no-copy ones :) Quite nice, when I reduced the length to 90.

But why, oh why, does it seem as it is an unwritten rule that one *must* flash underwear when wearing leather pants? (sighs)

That's the problem that Malia and I were discussing. The way SL clothing layers work make it very difficult (?impossible) to have a seamless join between different textures on the top and bottom halves of your body unless you're using the jacket layer. The two main workrounds are to produce tops with both underwear and trousers layers using the same texture, so they cover the gap (as do several designers), or to design tops that are intended show off your navel piercings and pants on the basis that you're intending to flash your underwear anyway (or, as Rhonda says, show you're not wearing any).

Prim belts hide a multitude of sins, I find, and I've also seen some belts made using the jacket layer, which covers the gap nicely but, of course, means you can't a jacket with them.
