Linked Message Script Alteration Needed

Need a "sun pointer" script I have, linked to a message to turn it on and off, think it can be done by setting llSetTimerEvent( 10.0 ) to llSetTimerEvent( 0.0 ) and back.

Using this format on linked messages:
link_message(integer sender, integer num, string message, key id)
{if (message == "off";)

Will send "pointer script"

llMessageLinked(LINK_SET, 1, "", "";);

}

In the script that's going to get the message:

link_message(integer sender_num, integer num, string msg, key id)
{

if (num == 1)
{
// DO STUFF HERE
}

}
